“Youth Time” and “Young Adult Christians”

(programs with Fr. Peter Nnanga, MSP)

Fr. Peter Nnanga, MSP has introduced 2 new programs for our youth in the diocese.

“Youth Time” with Fr. Peter is an invitation to all youth to a scheduled Zoom gathering - a “Question & Answer Time” on the topics of Faith, the Bible, Jesus, and the Church.

This youth program was created as a way of reaching out to our young people (via Zoom). This time is meant to be a ‘Question and Answer’ time, in which Father Peter can help address any questions or doubts with which our youth may be struggling.

These one-hour sessions have been going well so far, with youth participation from the communities and cities of Neilburg, Debden, Leoville, Prince Albert, Cut Knife, Unity, Saskatoon, Regina, Spiritwood, Marsden, and Cochrane AB.

The youth provide excellent questions regarding prayer, heaven, the Eucharist, the priesthood, sacrifice, and faith, to which Father Peter has provided insightful and meaningful answers.

Our initial gathering was held on Dec. 7, 2020 and have been held every two weeks since.

We would like to take this opportunity once again, to invite the youth of our diocese to join us. If you are interested in attending, please feel free to contact Adele Craswell, Coordinator of Youth Ministry at or at 1-(306)-960-0882

We are pleased to announce that a Youth Leader Commission has been formed!

Forming a Youth Commission was one of the goals we had set last fall,

and on October, 24, 2020, we held our first commission meeting.                                                                     The Commission consists of one representative from each of the 6 Deaneries,                                                  as well as the three members of our youth ministry team.

The Commission works closely with our Ministry Team to create enthusiasm                                                     and promote Youth Ministry for our youth and families throughout the diocese.

These are a few pictures of our last meeting held on March 13, 2021.

World Youth Day @ Home

Although World Youth Day @ Home January 26th, 2019 in Prince Albert Saskatchewan occurred in the midst of winter storm conditions, that storm could not quell the spirit of solidarity displayed by the over 100 faithful who attended our diocesan event coordinated to celebrate with the WYD pilgrims in Panama City.

We were pleased to have been gifted with the presence of Bishop Albert, many clergy, the N.E.T team, testimonials and the talents of Mr. Mike Landry of Edmonton Alberta, as well as an indigenous dance performance by dancers from Big River reserve. We were indeed blessed with a great day of fellowship and solidarity.
