DIOCESAN YOUTH RALLY with FacetoFace Ministries

April 23, Prince Albert

A day that was filled with fun, awesome music, spiritual talks and testimonies, games and activities, a photo and testimony booth, adoration, and great food, ended with nothing but smiles, and 110 youth wanting MORE! After many years without a large diocesan youth event such as this, the Youth Rally was truly a success.

However, this would not have been possible without the help and support of a number of important people that we need to acknowledge.

Our deepest thanks and gratitude to Bishop Stephen for your continuous support and your beautiful and encouraging personal message sent to the youth as we began the day of the Rally. Special thanks and appreciation to the Priests and Deacons, for your presence and support at the Rally, and to all our amazing volunteers.  Thank you to all who support the Bishop’s Annual Appeal and make these events possible. Thank you to FacetoFace Ministries for bringing Jesus to the youth in our diocese in a FUN, meaningful, and spiritual way.  Thank you to the youth that attended the Rally – for your participation, joy, enthusiasm and your ”yes” to Jesus.   Also, sincere thanks and gratitude to the parents, priests, and youth leaders, for your encouragement for your child/the youth to attend the Rally, and your continued prayers for a successful Rally.

Here are a just a few of the many comments from the youth and parents after the Rally:

'AWESOME!' …..'AMAZING!' …….'SO FUN'! …….'I FELT LOVED!'...... 'The music was great!'.......'Adoration was Amazing!'.........'My kids didn’t want to go, now they are asking when they can go again'……….'This was way better than I expected'……….'It was an awesome experience'…….'Lives were changed!'........... 'My daughter has not stopped talking about it'….

We give thanks and all Glory to God for this wonderful day.

“Youth Time with our Priest”,  with Fr. Peter Nnanga, MSP

Fr Peter Nnanga, MSP is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom Youth Program - Questions & Answers - on Faith, the Bible, Jesus, and the Church.

This program was created as a way of reaching out to our young people (on Zoom). This program is meant to be a ‘Question and Answer’ time, in which Father Peter can help to answer any questions or doubts that our youth in the diocese may have or may be struggling with.

These one-hour sessions have been going well so far, with youth from the communities of Neilburg, Debden, Leoville, Prince Albert, Cut Knife, Unity, and Cochrane, AB, participating.

The youth have come with excellent questions regarding prayer, heaven, the Eucharist, the priesthood, sacrifice, and faith, to which Father Peter has given insightful and meaningful answers.

Our first meeting was held on Dec. 7, a wonderful gathering with 10 youth participating. These gatherings have been held every two weeks since and it has grown over the months to having up to 15 youth in attendance.

We would like to take this opportunity once again, to invite the youth of our diocese to join us. If you are  interested in attending please feel free to contact Adele Craswell, Coordinator of Youth Ministry at or at 1 306-960-0882

We are pleased to announce that a Youth Leader Commission has been formed!

Forming a Youth Commission was one of the goals we had set last fall,

and on October, 24, 2020, we held our first commission meeting.                                                                     The Commission consists of one representative from each of the 6 Deaneries,                                                  as well as the three members of our youth ministry team.

The Commission works closely with our Ministry Team to create enthusiasm                                                     and promote Youth Ministry for our youth and families throughout the diocese.

These are a few pictures of our last meeting held on March 13, 2021.
