Morning Offering
Good Father, I know you are with me.
Here I am on this new day.
Place my heart once more next
to the Heart of your Son Jesus,
who is giving himself for me
and who comes to me in the Eucharist.
May your Holy Spirit make me his friend and apostle,
available for his mission of compassion.
I place in your hands my joys and hopes,
my works and sufferings,
everything that I am and have,
in communion with my brothers and sisters
of this Worldwide Prayer Network.
With Mary, I offer you my day for the mission of the Church and my Bishop this month. Amen.

Shield
-
The Sacred Heart of Jesus hovers in the blue sky. God's Son Jesus descended in love to the earth as a man to bring us into the reign of God.
-
Rivers cross the prairie in waves to show the importance of these waterways in our history and the Holy Spirit in the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation.
-
Wheat is growing on the prairie to suggest the grainfields and farms of Saskatchewan and the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.
-
The Bishop's mitre sits atop the shield and is decorated with Indigenous beadwork to indicate the First Nations and Métis peoples who were the first inhabitants of this land, and who welcomed new settlers and the Gospel.

Prayer for the Diocese of Prince Albert
O God, who have sent the power of the Gospel
like leaven into the world,
grant that your faithful in the Diocese of Prince Albert whom you have called to live amid the world and its affairs,
may be fervent with the Christian spirit
and, through the tasks they carry out in this present age,
may constantly build up your kingdom.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen
