February 3 – Leah Perreault - What’s Love Got to Do with It? Dating and Sex Today

As Pope Francis has said, “The desire to marry and form a family remains vibrant, especially among young people.” Yet amid a popular culture that has undermined an optimistic view of marriage and created a distorted understanding of our sexuality, the dating landscape today offers a complicated maze of challenges instead. In this interactive presentation, Leah Perreault will speak with young adults about today’s dating and the challenge of finding a meaningful relationship. Register HERE.

Author of three books, including How Far Can We Go? A Catholic Guide to Sex and Dating, and a popular column called Barefoot and Preaching, Leah offers an authentic and hope-filled response to the question: What’s Love Got to Do with It?

February 10 – Olive Branch Ministry - For Better or Worse: The Gift of Sacramental Marriage

Recently Pope Francis wrote, “The sacrament of marriage is not a social convention, an empty ritual or merely the outward sign of a commitment. The sacrament is a gift.” In this interactive evening presentation, couples will be invited to consider the gift of the sacrament of marriage in the best of times and the worst of times. This evening is for all married couples, whether you have been married for a few years or many. Register HERE.

February 17 – Olive Branch Ministry - Catholic, Separated or Divorced: Now What?

In a recent document, Pope Francis spoke about the pastoral care of couples who are struggling in their marriages and the care of those who have separated or divorced. In this interactive evening presentation, participants will hear about the importance of resilience, grief, and healing, embracing the challenge in their current marital state to become stronger and grow in love wherever the path may lead. Register HERE.

February 24 – Dr. Josephine Lombardi

The Joy of Love: Pope Francis’ Vision of Marriage and Love in the Family

In a document entitled the Joy of Love, Pope Francis shares his vision of marriage and love in the family. Through the lens of mercy and love, he speaks realistically of the real struggles that couples can face and the day-to-day challenges of family life. Pope Francis also speaks of the beauty and gift of marriage and family life. Register HERE.

During an evening presentation, Dr. Josephine Lombardi will break open the beauty of Pope Francis’ vision and share with us the Joy of Love. Dr. Lombardi is a well-known Canadian theologian, author, and gifted presenter. She is a wife, a mother, and a teacher. This evening is sure to be a blessing to all who attend.

LEARNING THE ART OF ACCOMPANIMENT: ADULT FAITH FORMATION
TUESDAY, JANUARY 18 FROM 7:00 - 8:30 pm
This second one-hour session was created in response to the feedback from the evaluations from the first session, where people asked for more resource information. This session is aimed at expanding the parish adult faith offerings. The evening will occur in three parts: 1) We will begin by sharing stories of what is going well and where we see room for improvement in our adult faith ministry. 2) We will look at the necessary elements when offering an adult faith evening (motivation, promotion, location, context, etc.) 3) We will look at some of the resources that the Diocese has available for parish Adult Faith. Bring a coffee, bring your ideas, bring a friend, and join the conversation. To register, click HERE.

PARTNERING WITH PARENTS: BUILD FAITH-FILLED CATHOLIC FAMILIES
TUESDAY, JANUARY 25 FROM 7:00 - 8:30 pm
Session one in this series occurred last fall. The conversation focused on moving from a classroom to a journey model for sacramental preparation. Session two will focus on how to accompany parents on the sacramental journey. There will be a time for catechists to share their recent experiences. An opportunity to hear suggestions to help move from a sage-on-the-stage style to a partnering or accompanying type of catechetical leadership. Join this evening event, where you will learn from others' experiences and grow in your abilities to partner with parents. To register, click HERE.

EVANGELIZATION AND THE PANDEMIC: CONCERNS, HOPES & DREAMS THURSDAY JANUARY 27 FROM 7:00 - 8:30 pm
At this interactive evening session, participants will have the opportunity to share their concerns, hopes and dreams for parish life and their ministry engagement after the pandemic. There will be an opportunity to plan first, second, and third steps to bring that vision to reality with others who share a similar ministry. Come prepared to hope, dream, and work out practical action steps for your area of engagement in your parish. To register, click HERE.
