Rachel's Vineyard Ministry of SK 2023 Retreat Are you hurting because of an abortion? Rachel's Vineyard is a safe place to renew, rebuild and redeem hearts broken by abortion. Weekend retreats offer you a supportive, confidential and non-judgmental environment where women and men can express, release and reconcile painful post-abortive emotions to begin the process of restoration, renewal and healing. Our next retreat in Saskatchewan will be held April 14 - 16 2023, in a location near to Saskatoon. To register or speak to someone confidentially, please contact Elaine at 1-306-480-8911 or email: r.vineyardsk@sasktel.net Rachel's Vineyard Ministries is a world wide, post-abortive healing ministry that was established in Saskatchewan in 2008. Since then, we have held 1 or 2 retreat weekends a year, helping men and women heal from the devastating effects of their choice to abort their children. Statistics show that over 64% of these women are coerced by others into making this decision. Others chose that option because of fear. Also, the culture of death, that is so prevalent in our society today, says that it is legal to kill an unborn child, which only makes that decision easier. People think they can erase their mistake. Of course, we know that the child is not a mistake, but it takes time for the parents of these children to realize that. After experiencing the effects of post abortion syndrome, which could be a multitude of things from denial, night mares, drug and/or alcohol abuse to suicidal tendency, they finally reach out for help. That is the reason for the existence of Rachel's Vineyard, to help those people come back to Christ who is the true Healer in their lives.

  • Report Sexual Abuse/Cover-up of Bishop | RC Diocese of Prince Albert

New Canadian Reporting System for Sexual Abuse or Cover-up by a Catholic Bishop furthers the commitment of the Catholic Church in Canada to protect minors and vulnerable persons from sexual abuse 6 May 2021 – Prince Albert, SK – Today, the Bishops of Canada launch a national, bilingual service for reporting situations of sexual abuse either committed or covered-up by a Bishop. This service furthers their commitment to responsibility, accountability and transparency in matters of clergy sexual abuse and their commitment to facilitate healing and justice for victims-survivors. The Canadian Reporting System for Sexual Abuse or Cover-up by a Catholic Bishop is a direct response to Pope Francis’ Apostolic Letter entitled Vos estis lux mundi (You are the light of the world). In this Letter, the Pope calls on dioceses and eparchies throughout the world to establish “...one or more public, stable and easily accessible systems for submission of reports…”. With Vos estis lux mundi, the Pope indicates what procedures must be followed in the universal Church when allegations are made against a Bishop. In doing so, he updates, clarifies and standardizes practices around the world. The reporting system for Bishops introduces an additional level of accountability for Church leadership in Canada, alongside the existing diocesan/eparchial protocols for reporting and responding to sexual abuse or other sexual misconduct by priests, deacons, religious, and mandated lay pastoral personnel. “Our society must aim to create a climate of safety where the abuse of children and vulnerable people is simply not tolerated, and where their support is paramount,” began Dr. Delphine Collin-Vézina, PhD, Director of the Centre for Research on Children and Families, and Director of the Canadian Consortium on Child & Youth Trauma, as well as full Professor, School of Social Work & Associate Member, Department of Pediatrics at McGill University. “The newly established national, bilingual system for reporting sexual abuse, sexual misconduct, or cover-up by a Catholic Bishop in Canada is an important step forward in this direction. This system is rooted in a victim-first approach and aims to remove the multiple barriers that prevent disclosure. These abuses have been silenced and covered up for too long, leaving victims and survivors unheard. I applaud this initiative led by the Bishops of Canada, which will hopefully facilitate healing and recovery for those who were abused.” ClearView Strategic Partners , a Canadian provider of an independent ethics reporting and whistleblowing platform, was engaged by the Bishops of Canada to develop the reporting system according to the instructions and procedures outlined in Vos estis lux mundi. This new reporting system is designed to receive and transmit to the proper Church authorities reports of sexual abuse, sexual misconduct (e.g., sexual harassment or possession of child pornography) or cover-up by a Catholic Bishop. ClearView’s technology benefits anyone wanting to make such a report by providing them with a secure and confidential platform, allowing them to remain anonymous if they so choose, and ensuring all communications are documented and preserved. The Catholic Bishops of Canada condemn all forms of sexual abuse in the strongest possible terms. No one should ever have to endure the pain, humiliation, and long-term suffering it causes, nor should anyone have to doubt that serious consequences await a perpetrator of sexual abuse or cover-up. With this reporting system, the Bishops make themselves accountable to live with integrity and to address reports of sexual abuse according to Church and civil law. At all times, they grieve with victims-survivors. They regret profoundly what offending Bishops, priests, deacons, religious, and laity have inflicted on victims-survivors, as well as its effects. The Bishops of Canada wish to reach out and accompany victims-survivors along the path that restores justice and promotes healing. About Canadian Reporting System for Sexual Abuse or Cover-up by a Catholic Bishop The Canadian Reporting System for Sexual Abuse or Cover-up by a Catholic Bishop is provided and financed by the Bishops of Canada. It operates on a confidential, secure platform, ClearView ConnectsTM, developed by ClearView Strategic Partners. Individuals can access the reporting system online (BishopReportingSystem.ca ) or via a toll-free number (1-866-892-3737) from anywhere in Canada, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year in English or French. To learn more about the Canadian Reporting System for Sexual Abuse or Cover-up by a Catholic Bishop, please visit www.padiocese.ca Information: For questions about safeguarding and responsible ministry in the Diocese of Prince Albert Andrea Langlois Director of Responsible Ministry E-mail: responsibleministry@padiocese.ca Phone: 306-922-4747 ext 234 Website: https://www.padiocese.ca/responsible-ministry For general and technical questions about the Canadian Reporting System for Sexual Abuse or Cover-up by a Catholic Bishop Lisa Gall Communications Coordinator Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) E-mail at communications@cccb.ca Phone at 613-241-9461, ext. 225 Canadian Reporting System for Sexual Abuse or Cover-up by a Catholic Bishop - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Link

Pastoral Care Page Diocesan Home Page SK Catholic Bishops' Response Ronald McDonald Family Room Statement by CCCB President on Supreme Court judgment and physician-assisted suicide The letter written by Most Reverend Paul-André Durocher, Archbishop of Gatineau and President of the Canadian Conference Catholic Bishops (CCCB) is also available at: http://www.cccb.ca/site/eng/media-room/statements-a-letters/4108-statement-by-cccb-president-on-supreme-court-judgment-and-physician-assisted-suicide February 6, 2015 Catholics are called by their faith to assist all those in need, particularly the poor, the suffering and the dying. Comforting the dying and accompanying them in love and solidarity has been considered by the Church since its beginning a principal expression of Christian mercy. Helping someone commit suicide, however, is neither an act of justice or mercy, nor is it part of palliative care. The decision of the Supreme Court of Canada today does not change Catholic teaching. "[A]n act or omission which, of itself or by intention, causes death in order to eliminate suffering constitutes a murder gravely contrary to the dignity of the human person and to the respect due to the living God, our Creator." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2277). The Bishops of our country invite Canadians, especially Catholics, to do all they can to bring comfort and support for all those who are dying and for their loved ones, so that no one, because of loneliness, vulnerability, loss of autonomy, or fear of pain and suffering, feels they have no choice but to commit suicide. The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops will continue to promote palliative and home care, and to encourage all the faithful to work for the betterment of the elderly, the disabled, the ill, and those who are socially isolated. My brother Bishops and I entreat governments and courts to interpret today's judgment in its narrowest terms, resisting any calls to go beyond this to so-called acts of "mercy killing" and euthanasia. We again call on provincial and territorial governments to ensure good-quality palliative care in all their jurisdictions. We also urge governments and professional associations to implement policies and guidelines which ensure respect for the freedom of conscience of all health-care workers as well as administrators who will not and cannot accept suicide as a medical solution to pain and suffering. + Paul-André Durocher Archbishop of Gatineau President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops Download letters: 2015 February, CCCB President Statement on Supreme Court Judgment and Physician Assisted Suicide 2015 February, Physician Assisted Suicide Links to Statements in Media
